The Coldest Journey

The Coldest Journey is the first ever attempt to cross the Antarctic continent during the polar winter. Led by Sir Ranulph Fiennes ‘the world’s greatest living explorer’ (Guinness World Records), the traverse will take place between the two seasonal equinoxes, 21st March – 21st September, with the ice team travelling from Novo to the Ross Sea in the Antarctic winter. During this six month period the expedition team will have travelled 2,000 miles, mostly in complete darkness in temperatures as low as –90°C.

CAT (Caterpillar) launches its resistant phones – CAT B10 and CAT B25 – on the Bulgarian market. CAT telephones are water-resistant, shockproof, dustproof and frost-resistant. These phones are intended primarily for those who need a phone that can stand up to the toughest of conditions for their work or hobbies. The high resistance is certified by the IP 67 standard. This ensures full functionality even under rugged conditions or during outdoor activities.

Caterpillar Unveils First Hybrid Excavator

Caterpillar Inc. unveiled the first model in its new line of hybrid excavators, the Cat 336E H.The machine uses a new hydraulic hybrid technology developed by Caterpillar. The 336E was introduced primarily to meet Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions standards, and like any new Cat machine, it includes several enhancements over its predecessor, including more horsepower with greater fuel efficiency, more lift capability, higher digging force and automatic aftertreatment regeneration.

Ilia Tzarski – winner in two championships in 2012

Ilia Tsarski, the car racing pilot sponsored by Eltrak Bulgaria, became the 2012 national winner. However, this time he triumphed with two cups – the Track Championship and the Mountain Championship ones. The fastest racing car in Bulgaria – the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 E-max with which Tsarski won a victory over his competitors – has a motor of 650 h.p., 1000 Nm, OHLINS suspension, AP Racing brake system and a sequential gearbox, which changes gears within 0,026 seconds.

Caterpillar is introducing a revised line-up of 20-24 tonne E Series crawler excavators. The Cat® 320E, 323E and the reduced radius 320E RR adopt the EU Stage IIIB Cat C6.6 ACERTTM engine, providing reduced emissions and fuel consumption savings of up to 11%, compared to comparative D Series models while providing fuel savings of 8% and 9% respectively. Operators will appreciate an improved cab environment, with a wider range of seating including heating and cooling options.

Caterpillar Introduces the Cat TH336C, TH337C, TH406C and TH407C Telehandlers

The new Cat TH336C, TH337C, TH406C and TH407C Telehandlers feature Cat C4.4 ACERTTM engines that meet Stage IIIB emissions standards and are available in a 92.6 kW or a 106 kW rating. The C4.4 engine is designed and manufactured to ensure smooth, quiet operation and long life. The C Series Telehandlers are ideal for agriculture, general construction and industrial markets. With capacities ranging from 3300 kg to 3700 kg and lift heights up to 7.3 m, they deliver excellent strength and power to take loads up and out.

The New Cat Pavers AP555E Features Exclusive Fumes Management System

The new AP555E is ideal for multiple paving applications and preferences. Many contractors will match the paver with the AS4252C, a high-performance screed with tamper bars and vibratory screed plates. With extensions it paves at widths up to 8 m when used with the tracked AP555E. The standard, extendable paving range of 2.5 - 5 m makes this screed and paver highly versatile for smaller jobsites as well. Cat® H2 Series Compact Loaders Benefit From Engine Upgrades

Caterpillar is launching the H2 line of compact wheel loaders, featuring upgraded engines, a revised loader control valve, standard pilot joystick levers and simplified auxiliary hydraulic connections. Eltrak Bulgaria delivered its first 9-tone diesel powered CAT Lift Truck

Eltrak Bulgaria delivered for Assarel Medet Jsc. a diesel powered lift truck with capacity of 9 tones at LC 600 mm. This is the biggest lift truck of Caterpillar sold in the country. The forklift is model DP90N and is equipped with simplex mast 3000 mm, forks 2440 mm, hydraulic sideshift and fork positioner, FINGERTIP control (CAT’s patent), 3 speed automatic transmission forwards and backwards, lights set, buzzer, pneumatic tyres and luxury, tilting panel cabin. With this purchase the total Cat Lift Trucks fleet of this customer consists of five forklifts and a warehouse truck.

Cat Lift Trucks supports test phase of exciting solar energy project Antarctica 2.0

At the end of this year, two Dutch professional adventurers, Wilco van Rooijen and Fokke van Velzen, will drive 2300 km with a solar powered vehicle to the South Pole to make a statement about alternative energy sources and to inspire youth all over the world to contribute to a more sustainable way of living. The adventurers asked the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, the Netherlands, to design and build a car.

Oil Cooled Wet Disk Brakes and ProShift for CAT Lift Trucks DP/GP40 – 55N

CAT Lift Trucks recently announced two new options for the range DP/GP40N - 55N: Oil Cooled Wet Disk Brakes (WDB) and ProShift. The WDB is a completely sealed braking system ideal in areas where high concentrations of abrasive materials are found. The WDB brake system is locked away and cooled with oil, which means that the brakes do not wear due to the abrasive dust. The brakes operate at lower temperatures cooled by oil. This means that glazing of the drum brake shoes does not occur, which is an additional benefit.

The Big Foot – the “nightmare” of every car got going the adrenaline of Bulgarian spectators during the Monster Truck Show 2010. In October the original truck-monster arrived in the Balkan Peninsula for the first time and made an unforgettable two-day show at the National Hippodrome in Bankya. Rock Demo Bourgas 2010 – exhibition of machines in their working environment

The country’s first exhibition of quarry, sounding, crushing and screening machines in their working environment took place on 23 and 24 September. The event was hosted by the companies Andezit and Andela, and the co-organizers were Eltrak Bulgaria, Atlas Copco Bulgaria and Powerscreen Bulgaria. The Manager of Eltrak Bulgaria – for a Second Time among the Manager of the Year Finalists

It is for two consecutive years now that Todor Sheljaskow, Manager of Eltrak Bulgaria has been on the Top Ten list of the Manager of the Year competition. The first sold Cat track-type paver sold in Bulgaria

Cat AP655D is the first track-type paver sold in the country. The model is unique and has already begun working on the restoration of the road infrastructure of Kosharitza vacation village near the Sunny Beach seaside resort. The 19-tonne machine of Caterpillar was bought by the Bourgas company 'Pat-2004' Ltd. After this project, it will also pave the central boulevards in the city of Bourgas.

Bauma 2010 – the sales record-breaking results are for Caterpillar

The restricted air traffic and the current economic situation were not an obstacle to Bauma 2010 – the biggest international fair for construction and mining machinery to achieve record-breaking results. The number of registered exhibitors was the highest ever – 3,150 from 53 countries, with 555,000 square metres of space. The visitors that attended Bauma were 415,000 from more than 200 countries - only 17 percent fewer than those in 2007, due to the flights cancelled because of the volcano ash.

Cat machine takes part in the most impressive project of Sofia Opera and Ballet

The skid steer loader CAT 262С became a certain choice also of the classical art. The respected model in the construction business appears on the stage during the second scene of the opera “Rheingold” (“The Rhine Gold”) by Richard Wagner, presented in Bulgaria for the first time. This “actor’s debut” of the loader did not happen by chance. In the fairy plot of the opera, CAT 262С “builds” the fortress for the gods and its operators are the giants Fafner and Fasolt.

Caterpillar improves its E-Series backhoe loaders

Caterpillar has incorporated a number of detail improvements across the full range of E-Series machines to further boost productivity and performance on site and has added a seventh model to its popular backhoe loader line. The latest E-Stick extending dipper has a sliding inner section to improve over-the-side loading stability and simplify hose routing through the boom. Todor Sheljaskow is among the 2009 top ten CEOs in Bulgaria

Todor Sheljaskow - the General Manager of Eltrak Bulgaria Ltd., is among the ten most successful high-level managers in Bulgaria, according to the prestigious Manager of the Year ranking.
