Cat® K Series Small Wheel Loaders Feature New Engines, Hydrostatic Drive and Redesigned Loader Linkage

The new Cat® K Series Small Wheel Loaders—924K, 930K and 938K—are completely redesigned, incorporating new engines that meet Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim emissions standards and significant new features that deliver enhanced performance, fuel efficiency and operator comfort. Among the new features are an efficient electronically controlled hydrostatic drive system, new optimized Z-bar loader linkage, refined operator's station and a choice of couplers and buckets for best matching the machine to the application. Predecessor models—924H, 924Hz, 928Hz, 930H, 938H —will be available in markets having lesser fuel quality and less-stringent emissions standards.The Cat C6.6 ACERT™ engine powers the three new K-Series wheel loaders and works efficiently with the machines to deliver fuel savings up to 30 percent, compared with H-Series models. Emissions-control technology includes a diesel particulate filter that utilizes passive regeneration. Passive regeneration occurs continuously during normal operation with no impact on productivity. The C6.6 engine's rated speed setting of 1800 rpm, compared with 2415 rpm for the H-Series, contributes significantly to reduced fuel consumption, lowered sound levels, and reduced wear. An engine-idle shutdown system further reduces fuel consumption.
K-Series models are equipped with a step-less, four-range, hydrostatic drive system that allows independent control of ground speed and engine speed for efficient operation of hydraulically powered work tools. A new creeper control feature further improves low speed operations by allowing the operator to adjusted maximum ground speed down to 1 km/h. An operator-controlled rimpull-control system helps reduce wheel spin and consequent tire wear, and a standard front differential lock enhances traction.
The dedicated load-sensing, variable-displacement pumps for the implement and steering systems reduce horsepower draw for fuel efficiency and improve multifunction performance. The new K Series loaders also incorporate an electronic snubbing feature at end stroke and kick out positions to reduce operating stress. Hydraulic-filter service intervals are extended to 2,000 hours.

18 December 2012 Ilia Tzarski – winner in two championships in 2012
Ilia Tsarski, the car racing pilot sponsored by Eltrak Bulgaria, became the 2012 national winner. However, this time he triumphed with two cups – the Track Championship and the Mountain Championship ones. The fastest racing car in Bulgaria – the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 E-max with which Tsarski won a victory over his competitors – has a motor of 650 h.p., 1000 Nm, OHLINS suspension, AP Racing brake system and a sequential gearbox, which changes gears within 0,026 seconds.
6 December 2012 Fuel Efficient Low Emission Engines Boost Cat Mid-Weight Excavators
Caterpillar is introducing a revised line-up of 20-24 tonne E Series crawler excavators. The Cat® 320E, 323E and the reduced radius 320E RR adopt the EU Stage IIIB Cat C6.6 ACERTTM engine, providing reduced emissions and fuel consumption savings of up to 11%, compared to comparative D Series models while providing fuel savings of 8% and 9% respectively. Operators will appreciate an improved cab environment, with a wider range of seating including heating and cooling options.

27 August 2012 The New Cat Pavers AP555E Features Exclusive Fumes Management System
The new AP555E is ideal for multiple paving applications and preferences. Many contractors will match the paver with the AS4252C, a high-performance screed with tamper bars and vibratory screed plates. With extensions it paves at widths up to 8 m when used with the tracked AP555E. The standard, extendable paving range of 2.5 - 5 m makes this screed and paver highly versatile for smaller jobsites as well. Rigid, double-width extenders ensure performance at wide paving widths and can be equipped with foldable end gates that reduce the transport size.
