The Cat Skid Steer Loader (SSL) and Multi Terrain Loader (MTL) have earned the distinction of being tough, reliable machines that perform a variety of tasks competently, while providing exceptional convenience and control. Now, the new B-Series 3 loaders incorporate design refinements that make them even more capable, more reliable, safer and easier to operate. Specific design refinements for all B-Series 3 models include a redesigned "dead-engine lower valve," single electronic control module (ECM), which is relocated for improved access and reliability, plus new ECM-enabled features. A heavy-duty battery (880 CCA) is now standard equipment on larger models, and a headliner is added to the optional Comfort Package.
The basic redesign of the 242B3 SSL and 257B3 MTL involves adding substantial power—both engine and hydraulic—to allow these small-frame machines to perform as larger machines in confined spaces. Installing the Cat C3.4 DIT diesel engine, rated at 71 net horsepower (53 kW), gives these two models a 25-percent increase in net power, compared to their B-Series 2 counterparts, and a 28-percent boost in peak torque. Complementing the more powerful engine in the 242B3 and 257B3 is a more capable hydraulic system, having a 6.4-gpm (24.2 lpm) increase in standard flow, from 15.6 to 22 gpm (59 to 83.3 lpm). This increase significantly improves the capability and efficiency of the 242B3 and 257B3 when handling standard-flow work tools, such as brush cutters, power box rakes and trenchers.
In addition, larger lift and tilt cylinders give these two new models a substantial gain in boom and bucket breakout force, from 13 to 19 percent, depending on model and circuit. Increased breakout forces provide enhanced performance in all basic functions—loading, lifting and digging.

18 March 2013 The Coldest Journey
The Coldest Journey is the first ever attempt to cross the Antarctic continent during the polar winter. Led by Sir Ranulph Fiennes ‘the world’s greatest living explorer’ (Guinness World Records), the traverse will take place between the two seasonal equinoxes, 21st March – 21st September, with the ice team travelling from Novo to the Ross Sea in the Antarctic winter. During this six month period the expedition team will have travelled 2,000 miles, mostly in complete darkness in temperatures as low as –90°C.

13 February 2013 “Heavy duty” CAT telephones have arrived
CAT (Caterpillar) launches its resistant phones – CAT B10 and CAT B25 – on the Bulgarian market. CAT telephones are water-resistant, shockproof, dustproof and frost-resistant. These phones are intended primarily for those who need a phone that can stand up to the toughest of conditions for their work or hobbies. The high resistance is certified by the IP 67 standard. This ensures full functionality even under rugged conditions or during outdoor activities.
16 January 2013 Caterpillar Unveils First Hybrid Excavator
Caterpillar Inc. unveiled the first model in its new line of hybrid excavators, the Cat 336E H.The machine uses a new hydraulic hybrid technology developed by Caterpillar. The 336E was introduced primarily to meet Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions standards, and like any new Cat machine, it includes several enhancements over its predecessor, including more horsepower with greater fuel efficiency, more lift capability, higher digging force and automatic aftertreatment regeneration.
18 December 2012 Ilia Tzarski – winner in two championships in 2012
Ilia Tsarski, the car racing pilot sponsored by Eltrak Bulgaria, became the 2012 national winner. However, this time he triumphed with two cups – the Track Championship and the Mountain Championship ones. The fastest racing car in Bulgaria – the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 E-max with which Tsarski won a victory over his competitors – has a motor of 650 h.p., 1000 Nm, OHLINS suspension, AP Racing brake system and a sequential gearbox, which changes gears within 0,026 seconds.
6 December 2012 Fuel Efficient Low Emission Engines Boost Cat Mid-Weight Excavators
Caterpillar is introducing a revised line-up of 20-24 tonne E Series crawler excavators. The Cat® 320E, 323E and the reduced radius 320E RR adopt the EU Stage IIIB Cat C6.6 ACERTTM engine, providing reduced emissions and fuel consumption savings of up to 11%, compared to comparative D Series models while providing fuel savings of 8% and 9% respectively. Operators will appreciate an improved cab environment, with a wider range of seating including heating and cooling options.
