Caterpillar has made some important changes to its Backhoe Loaders in response to customer requirements. They make the improved E-series even more productive, more comfortable and easier to service. Now the range includes 7 models of which both models 434E and 444E are equipped with equal sized tyres.
All E-series Backhoe Loaders are available with an extendable stick that increases reach and dig depth capability. The revised backhoe design has a sliding inner section, that improves stability and keeps the wear pads out of the dirt, extending adjustment and replacement intervals. The auxiliary lines that connect to the hydraulic work tools have been re-routed so that they are protected from damage, even when working in narrow trenches. Increased bucket breakout forces are available on several models.
There is also a revised design to the loader arms on the 428E, 432E and 442E, which improves durability and longetivity of components. The new Caterpillar 434E Mechanical was introduced alongside the existing 434E Pilot Control machine. The 434E Mechanical boasts the same higly productive four wheel drive, all-wheel steer drive train as the pilot operated machine, but comes with the option of mechanical levers for the backhoe and loader. All backhoe loaders are powered by Caterpillar’s highly efficient C4.4 engine, which meets the emissions levels set down in Stage IIIA of the ED2004/26/EC.
